GitHub Universe badge runs Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulators, including Zelda: Link's Awakening

At GitHub Universe 2026, the conference badge features a full-color screen and can run Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulators. Steve Francia and Gemini previously ported a full NES emulator to the badge, and the latest work extends this to Game Boy titles. This means users can run games like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the device by loading a ROM.
