Square Tech and GOAT Network sign MOU to advance AI agent-powered stablecoin payments in South Korea

Square Tech signed an MOU with GOAT Network, with DAC Labs providing technical support, to explore AI agent-powered stablecoin payment services in South Korea. The initial focus is integrating GOAT Network's technology into a stablecoin payment program for foreign tourists, which Square Tech is developing with Lordsystem, enabling identity verification via mobile passports and payments using US dollar-denominated stablecoins at participating merchants. The phased rollout is subject to Korean legal and regulatory review, amid South Korea's AI Basic Act (effective January 2026) and ongoing discussions on a Digital Asset Basic Act.
