Bitget to acquire GMO-Z.com Cryptonomics to expand in Southeast Asia

Bitget plans to acquire Thailand's GMO-Z.com Cryptonomics through BTGT Management, aiming to launch its trading platform in the Thai market. The deal follows a $388 million hack of Bitget's wallet infrastructure in September, which the exchange said was fully restored by Oct. 2. Completion remains subject to regulatory approval.
