Bithumb confirms data breach, personal information leaked

South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb confirmed that an outside party accessed its internal mobile groupware system, leaking personal information. The exchange is investigating whether customer data was compromised. On the same day, brokerage Daishin Securities and asset manager Mirae Asset Global Investments also reported data breaches. Industry sources and Yonhap News Agency reported that some personal information had been leaked.
