Binance Hacker Divides $1.4 B of Bitcoin into 19 Unfrozen Wallets

A hacker who stole 18,270 BTC from Binance has distributed the coins into 19 separate wallets, 17 of which each hold exactly 1,000 BTC. None of the wallets have moved since Thursday night, according to a CoinDesk blockchain trace. The total value of the stolen coins is about $1.4 billion, and the distribution strategy appears designed to evade freezing or seizure by regulators or Binance itself.
