Deezer to introduce toggle allowing users to filter out AI-generated music

Deezer announced it is developing a new toggle feature, expected before the end of the year, that will allow users to filter out AI-generated tracks, albums, and related artists from search results. This development follows a survey last year showing about 45% of Deezer customers wanted this option, and a July report indicating that over 50% of daily uploads, averaging 90,000 tracks per day, were AI-generated. Other services have responded with varying policies: Bandcamp has banned AI tracks, Tidal cut off monetization for AI music, Spotify only tags AI tracks, and Apple Music is reportedly looking to label AI tracks by the end of the year.
