JPMorgan launches JPM Coin on Ethereum for institutional clients, excluding retail

JPMorgan expanded its JPM Coin deposit token to the Ethereum mainnet on October 19, 2026, adding a public blockchain route for institutional clients to transfer dollar deposits peer-to-peer. The token, already available on Base, now reaches the broader Ethereum ecosystem where the bank's tokenized money-market funds, including MONY and JLTXX, also reside. Participation remains restricted to JPMorgan's institutional client base, with no retail access announced.
