Apple releases iOS 27.2 and macOS Golden Gate 27.2 with new Siri AI features and updated Music logo

Apple rolled out iOS 27.2 and macOS Golden Gate 27.2, adding a memory feature to Siri that allows it to recall past conversations and reference them in future chats. The update expands Siri's data sources to include voicemails and Messages attachments, while introducing an "Excluded Apps" option to limit Siri and Search access. Siri AI is now available in five additional languages—French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish—though it remains unavailable in Europe and mainland China. Other additions include context-aware suggestions in Messages, SynthID watermarking in Photos, and user profiles in the Apple TV app. The updates also bring a new Apple Music branding and previously promised Apple Pencil support for iPhone Duo foldable.
