NVIDIA Launches Vera CPU Claiming Highest Agent Throughput and Fastest Agent Speed
NVIDIA announced its Vera CPU in an official blog post, saying a single processor delivers both high agent speed and high capacity per watt. In a 100-megawatt data center comparison, Vera outperformed the fastest and most energy-efficient x86 CPUs, enabling 1.6 times more agents per watt than the fastest x86 CPU. Partners including Perplexity, DeepInfra, ClickHouse, DuckLabs, Daytona, and Modal validated performance in production-style tests; Daytona brought 1,000 agent sandboxes online in 10.8 seconds versus 88.4 seconds on x86.
NVIDIA, a core AI infrastructure vendor, launched a CPU for AI agents with specific multiplier comparisons and multiple partner test data, offering some reference value for the compute and chip industry, but it is a vendor self-published blog lacking independent third-party verification.
