Ethereum delays Glamsterdam testnet fork due to gas security flaws identified by ChainSecurity

Ethereum developers postponed the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet after auditor ChainSecurity flagged security issues with its gas changes. ChainSecurity found 13 real-world examples where the changes could allow some smart contracts to permanently record failed operations that were previously designed to be retryable. The Glamsterdam upgrade, which changes how the network charges for data creation and access via EIP-8037 and EIP-8038, was originally scheduled for Monday, and node operators were advised to revert to an older software release.
