Apple adds AI assistant to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers

Apple is integrating an AI assistant into its productivity apps Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, built on Apple and OpenAI models. The assistant can draft and rewrite content in Pages, design and animate slides in Keynote, and calculate, visualize data, and suggest chart types in Numbers. The apps also support the Model Context Protocol, allowing third-party AI agents to plug in. The feature rolls out in beta on devices compatible with Apple Intelligence running iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27 or later.
