Qivalis obtains Dutch EMI license for planned euro stablecoin, pending MiCA compliance

Qivalis received an electronic money institution (EMI) license from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the Dutch central bank, to support its planned euro-denominated electronic money tokens (EMTs). The company, backed by 37 banks across 15 countries, plans to begin issuance within the coming months through institutional partners using a B2B2X model. However, issuance is contingent upon meeting EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) requirements and publishing a detailed white paper, and the token is not yet live.
