People's Bank of China and Bank Indonesia hold joint working mechanism meeting

On Nov. 3, 2026, the People's Bank of China and Bank Indonesia held a meeting of their joint working mechanism. PBOC Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng and Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor Thomas Giwandono attended and exchanged views on cooperation progress and priorities for the next phase of bilateral financial cooperation. The meeting said the joint working mechanism is an important platform for the two central banks to coordinate financial cooperation. Both sides will continue to advance practical cooperation in local currency cooperation, payment system connectivity, financial market cooperation, and digital currency cooperation.
