PBOC Deputy Governor Zou Lan attends 5th International Financial Leaders Investment Summit in Hong Kong

On November 3, 2026, People's Bank of China Deputy Governor Zou Lan attended and spoke at the 5th International Financial Leaders Investment Summit in Hong Kong. Zou Lan said China's economy is showing a trend of renewal and improvement, driven by expanding domestic demand. He said the central bank will gradually transform and optimize its monetary policy framework in line with changes in China's financial structure to create a favorable financial environment for high-quality economic development. The PBOC will also continue to deepen high-level opening-up of the financial sector, support Hong Kong's development as an international financial center, and consolidate Hong Kong's status as a hub for offshore renminbi business.
