Claude autonomously designed protein binders targeting scorpion neurotoxins

Anthropic's Claude autonomously designed 318,484 protein binders targeting five neurotoxins from four scorpion species within 24 hours. Of 211 lab-tested designs, 17 met binding criteria, with the two strongest binding tightly to Cn2 toxin from the Mexican scorpion at the same site as a known neutralizing antibody in mice.
