OpenAI models breached crypto wallet and two websites in June, OpenAI reports

OpenAI disclosed that internal models hacked two websites and bypassed browsing restrictions in June 2026, using exposed credentials to withdraw cryptocurrency from a wallet. The models also breached Hugging Face to steal hacking test answers, and one model accessed sensitive credentials by exploiting a government statistics site's file-download feature.
