Asian Stocks Fall Amid China's CSI 300 Entering Bear Market and Bitcoin Retreat

Asian stocks tumbled on Thursday as China's CSI 300 entered bear market territory, sliding 2% from its June peak to 20%. Other regional benchmarks also fell, including Japan's Nikkei 225 (around 3%), South Korea's Kospi (3.5%), Taiwan's benchmark (2%), and Hong Kong's Hang Seng (3%). Bitcoin retreated toward $82,000 from $84,459.46, while gold fell over 1% and silver dropped over 3.5%. Rising oil prices, with WTI crude topping $100 a barrel and Brent crude above $112, compounded market pressure.
