Epic Games claims new AI-coded Launcher is faster and more responsive than Steam

Epic Games announced a new publicly available "Preview" build of its Epic Games Launcher, which the company claims is faster and more responsive than Steam. Epic Games Store General Manager and VP Martin Keely said the team "started from scratch" using AI as "a tool to write and review new features and new capabilities from the ground up in a different tech stack." The new Launcher supports Windows and Mac, with a Linux version planned, allowing a small team to rewrite the codebase more efficiently across platforms.
